Meet the Team
Kelly
Kelly has been a dental hygienist for three decades. She’s devoted her life to helping individuals and families feel happier and healthier about their smiles! Kelly is proud to serve as a part of the Dental Hygienist team here at Beach Dental Care.
Kelly graduated from hygienist school in Gainesville, Florida and completed her clinical hours at the University of Florida Dental School Clinic, where she received invaluable experience that serves her well to this day. She couldn’t be happier to use her years of experience to better the lives of those in the South Florida community.
Sally
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Sally moved to Miami Beach with her family at a young age, where she was raised. She couldn’t be happier to serve the community where she grew up! Sally gets to put her passion for healthcare and dentistry to good use every day—she’s a Dental Hygienist with the Beach Dental Care family.
Sally graduated from Miami Dade College with her Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene in 2007. During her schooling, she volunteered at the VA Hospital as well as the Nova Dental School, where she got to work with children and the elderly. For her, helping others is what it’s all about!
Most of Sally’s free time away from work is spent with her husband, Alex, and their twin daughters. She also enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and relaxing on the beach.
Pedro
Pedro always dreamt of a career in healthcare. He wanted to do his part to help others in whatever way he could, and he simply never gave up on that vision! Now, Pedro is proud to serve as a Dental Assistant.
Originally from Cuba, Pedro graduated from the University of Havana’s College of Dentistry in 1990. He worked as a dentist for eight years before leaving Cuba for the United States. He arrived in Miami in 1999 and has been working with Dr. DelCastillo ever since. He’s gone on to achieve advanced training accolades as a Dental Assistant, and obtained his license as a Dental Hygienist in 2003.
Hilda
Before leaving her native Cuba in 1993, Hilda obtained her degree in computer programming. That allowed her to pursue a successful career in business management within the dental field, and her experience is invaluable here at Beach Dental Care. Hilda has served as the clinic’s Office Manager since 1998!
Hilda has come to know many of the clinic’s patients on a personal level and loves to help steer them toward the best decisions regarding their oral health. Her ability to help with financing decisions, as well as her expertise with Care Credit®, make her a valuable asset to our patients and the organization as a whole. Hilda is happy to help with any questions regarding treatment, financing, or office appointments.
Yaima
Yaima’s past experience as a dental office billing and insurance coding coordinator, not to mention her stellar customer-service skills, has proven invaluable to Beach Dental Care. She helps patients and the entire team as one of the clinic’s Office Assistants!
Yaima is originally from Cuba and came to Miami with her parents at the age of 17. It wasn’t long before she had enrolled at Miami Dade Community College. In 2004, she received her degree as an Ultrasound Technician, and wound up running a dental office in North Miami Beach for several years. Yaima joined forces with Dr. DelCastillo in January of 2013 and has been a valued member of the team ever since.
In her free time, Yaima likes spending time with her husband and family, reading good books, catching great movies, and enjoying all that the Miami Beach area has to offer.
Jesus
For Jesus, being able to use his background in information technology, systems engineering, and software to help better the lives of others is a dream come true. He’s an Administrative Assistant and IT Specialist here at Beach Dental Care.
Jesus was born in Havana, Cuba and graduated from the University of Havana in 1976 as a Systems Engineer. He was a professor at the University from 1978 to 1996, where he taught computer science and software applications, until transplanting himself and his family to Miami. He’s been a Novel I Certified Network Engineer since 1991, a Microsoft Certified Professional since 1993, and a Microsoft partner since 2003! Jesus’s IT support has been an invaluable asset to the team, and his work has helped to pave the way for a future paperless office.
Jesus and his wife, Julia, have four children. In his time away from the office, he likes watching the SciFi channel and enjoying his empty nest with his two dogs, Bruno and Rocky.
Vanessa
Vanessa was born and raised in the Dominican Republic and received her dental education at the Universidad Iberoamericana. She came to the United States in 2003, and has been working in the dental field ever since! Vanessa is proud to help patients daily as a Dental Assistant here at Beach Dental Care.
Vanessa joined the Beach Dental Care family in 2005 and has participated in many continuing education courses since that time. She’s one of the clinic’s lead Dental Assistants, and our patients and team members enjoy her great sense of humor and easygoing manner.
Outside of work, Vanessa’s interests include reading, practicing her sewing and needle-point skills, and seeing great movies.
Andrea
Andrea was born and raised in Valencia, Venezuela, and received her dental education at UJAP University. She came to the United States in 2021 eager to grow and learn. Beach Dental Care opened our doors to her, and since then, she has been assisting us as an intern, where she learns every day from our Lead Dental Assistant.
Andrea enjoys graphic design, photography, and music. In her free time, she plays the guitar and sings. She likes to skate and watch Netflix, travel and spend time with her family and friends.
Anny
Anny was born and raised in Venezuela. She received her dental education at the University of Carabobo, specializing in Orthodontics. Anny has been working in the dental field since 2013. She has been a great addition to our team and a great help with our Invisalign treatment.
Anny moved to Miami in 2017. She and her husband Anthony enjoy Miami Beach. In her free time, she likes to go hiking, travel, and read.
